Support for anxiety, depression and emotional wellbeing.
Evidence-based psychology, delivered with care. At Tiba Psychology, we provide Telehealth assessment and therapy for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress and other emotional or psychological difficulties.
Therapy for trauma and PTSD.
Trauma changes how the nervous system reads safety. The result can be intrusive memories, flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance, avoidance, sleep disturbance, emotional numbing, or a sense that something is just off — even when life on paper looks fine. Not everyone who experiences trauma develops Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and an individual assessment helps clarify your symptoms and the right approach.
We use trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches — trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills for managing overwhelming emotion, and stabilisation and coping work. Where the work calls for it, we take a slower phased approach for complex or developmental trauma. Stabilisation and safety always come before any processing, which is only undertaken where clinically appropriate and agreed as part of your treatment plan.

When to seek support
It may help to speak with a psychologist if trauma-related symptoms are affecting sleep, concentration, or daily functioning, interfering with relationships or work, causing frequent distress or intrusive memories, leading you to avoid places, people, or activities, or continuing after the immediate danger has passed.
